MORIEN NOLOT

actress, builder, assistant director

She could have become an art restorer or an archaeologist. Instead, she chose a path through Fine Arts and the Conservatory, turning toward sound and matter.

She finds her inspiration by delving into intangible memories as much as into the most trivial objects. She wanders through flea markets, combs through archives, follows news threads, immerses herself in art history, and from all this gathered material she creates works in which reality and fiction intertwine.

In 2012, she founded the company Kislorod, based in Rennes, which today supports three object-and-material theatre productions: Sur le rivage, about the passing of time and the memories that remain; La vie fantasmée de Mr G, a docu-fiction for blocks of granite; and most recently Sortir du bois, a road trip inspired as much by motorway scenes as by 17th-century vanitas.

Since 2017, she has been an associate artist at the Théâtre du Cercle.

Alongside her own projects, she performs with Scopitone et Cie in Le Vilain p’tit canard. She joined Compagnie Bakélite in 2020 as a dramatic artist (Forêt for ever #1), then as an outside eye (Hostile, Jean-Marc). In 2023, she assisted with directing and construction, and performed in a duo with Olivier Rannou in Love of Risk.
